They will take notice when the company gets sued, gets defrauded, or has an article written about their e arm.

Then CEOs will take their non-influential online marketer’s opinions as their own, look like the hero, and continue to let the marketer feel like they have to classify themselves as non-influential.  But because they have that one moment of glory, the marketer will feel like it was all worth it.

Not that I’ve seen this happen a few dozen times or anything.
