Details have been leaked on Performics’ pending announcement about its new House Links platform. Via a panel discussion during Vintage Tub and Bath’s monthly affiliate marketing teleconference, Dan Chiss, Performics Director of Affiliate Strategy & Network Integrity, confirmed my earlier suspicion that the technology enhancement will allow Web marketers and publishers increased flexibility. Indeed, not all of Performics’ competitors offer such flexibility.
After reminding Linkshare VP, Liane Dietrich that her characterization of Performics as a technology pioneer was misguided, a rather feisty Mr. Chiss responded to my forward-minded question on affiliate marketing’s future by stating:
“... We’ve been doing some really innovative things with technology in the last 18 months or so… from our link subscription service, Orange Links, to House Links…

Essentially it’s affiliate tracking links that link directly to a merchant’s domain; similar to an affiliate program managed in house by a merchant. There’s a lot of natural search benefit to the merchant… there’s ad and cookie blocking benefit to the publisher… so we’re pretty excited about it.”
Mr. Chiss said Performics believes this flexibility, while not a cure-all for every Web marketer, is where the market is heading. Translation: There’s a demand void and Performics looks to fill it.
